Role overview

Honeywell builds software and hardware for aerospace, buildings, energy and industrial customers. This bachelor’s-level software engineering internship gives students hands-on experience with real products, working alongside engineers on code, testing and problem-solving.

What you'll do

• Work with the engineering team on software design, development and testing.
• Write, debug and maintain code under the guidance of a mentor.
• Participate in code reviews and team planning activities.
• Help investigate and resolve defects and technical issues.
• Document work clearly and share progress with the team.
• Learn Honeywell’s engineering tools, processes and quality standards.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology or a related field.
• Programming fundamentals in at least one language such as C, C++, Java, Python or C#.
• Basic understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Available for the internship term listed on Honeywell Careers.
• Strong willingness to learn and work in a team.

Nice to have

• Academic or personal projects that show applied programming.
• Familiarity with Git, debugging tools or Agile working.
• Good communication and documentation habits.
• Interest in embedded, industrial or enterprise software.
